Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), National Remote Sensing Center (NSRC) and Department of space, Govt of India has launched Bhuvan, a satellite mapping tool.
Bhuvan would be able to provide local information of towns, cities and villages of India. It uses the data recorded by Indian satellites.

I was watching the TV Serial "Mitawa" on Star Plus and I thought this is not the India that I know now..I thought that it was too much to show for the current India. India is stepping up towards modernization and leaving behind the orthodoxy nature. But I was wrong when I read this facts.
