Laureen Ong To Step Down As Star COO

News Corp. (NYSE: NWS) yesterday said Laureen Ong was stepping down as the COO of its Asian broadcasting unit Star Group Ltd. Operational units under Ong will now report to CEO Paul Aiello. Ong joined Star in May 2007. She will leave the company mid-August. “Laureen has played a key leadership role in rejuvenating some of our brands and expanding the reach of our popular channels globally, Aiello said.
